5. Analytics, advertising, and retargeting
We may use analytics and advertising technologies to understand how people use the Service, measure traffic and conversions, improve the product, and advertise The Influist.
These technologies may include web analytics tools, conversion tracking, advertising pixels, retargeting pixels, and similar tools provided by companies such as analytics platforms, advertising networks, social platforms, search platforms, and measurement providers.
These providers may collect or receive information from the Service and elsewhere on the internet and may use that information to provide measurement services, show ads, measure ad performance, build audiences, limit ad frequency, or personalize advertising.
Depending on your location and applicable law, this type of activity may be considered "sharing" personal information, targeted advertising, or cross-context behavioral advertising.
You may be able to limit tracking through your browser settings, device settings, cookie controls, privacy tools, platform ad settings, or opt-out mechanisms we provide where required by law.
6. Information used in reports
The Influist reports may identify or reference public figures, creators, brands, publications, places, organizations, and other cultural entities.
Reports may include names, descriptions, categories, profile links, public or professional context, estimated affinity and reach metrics, rankings, clusters, and written analysis.
Reports are generated from aggregated entity-level data, public or profile metadata, derived analytical outputs, and related research inputs. Report outputs are modeled estimates and analysis, not measurements of private behavior, purchases, individual consumer records, private contact information, or personal communications.
We do not intentionally include private contact information, precise home addresses, government identifiers, payment information, health information, or other sensitive personal information about featured people in reports.
The inclusion of a person, creator, brand, or entity in a report does not imply endorsement, affiliation, consent to be contacted, availability, interest, suitability, or any relationship with The Influist or any customer.
If you are an individual featured in a report and believe information about you is inaccurate, inappropriate, or should be removed, contact us at hello@theinfluist.com. We will review your request.
7. Legal bases for processing
Where required by applicable law, including the GDPR or UK GDPR, we rely on one or more legal bases to process personal information, including:
- performance of a contract, such as providing reports, processing purchases, and delivering access;
- legitimate interests, such as operating, securing, improving, analyzing, marketing, and protecting the Service, and providing cultural-intelligence and market-research reports;
- compliance with legal obligations, such as tax, accounting, regulatory, and legal requirements;
- consent, where required, such as for certain cookies, advertising technologies, or marketing communications in some jurisdictions.
For individuals featured in reports, where applicable, we rely primarily on our legitimate interests in providing market-research, cultural-analysis, and business-intelligence services in the context of public, professional, brand, creator, or cultural activity, balanced against individual rights and interests.
8. How we share information
We may share information with the following categories of recipients.
Service providers
We share information with service providers that help us operate the Service, including hosting providers, cloud infrastructure providers, database and storage providers, payment processors, email delivery providers, analytics providers, advertising and retargeting providers, AI or automation providers, security providers, customer-support tools, and professional advisors.
These providers may process information on our behalf or, in some cases, as independent controllers according to their own terms and privacy policies.
Payment processors
Payment information is processed by our payment processor. We do not intentionally store full payment-card numbers.
Analytics and advertising partners
We may share or make available device, usage, event, conversion, and similar information to analytics and advertising partners, including through cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies.
This may be used for analytics, attribution, campaign measurement, retargeting, audience creation, and advertising The Influist.
Legal, safety, and compliance
We may disclose information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, regulatory obligations, tax or accounting requirements, enforce our Terms, protect our rights, prevent fraud or abuse, investigate security issues, or protect users, customers, featured people, or the public.
Business transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar transaction, information may be transferred or disclosed as part of that transaction.
With your direction or consent
We may share information when you direct us to do so, consent to it, or otherwise intentionally make information available through your use of the Service.
9. Cookies and your choices
We may use both essential and non-essential cookies and similar technologies.
Essential technologies are used to operate the Service, provide security, enable checkout, maintain sessions, and deliver reports.
Non-essential technologies may be used for analytics, performance measurement, advertising, retargeting, attribution, and product improvement.
Depending on your location, we may provide cookie controls, consent banners, opt-out links, or other mechanisms required by law.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect site functionality, checkout, report access, analytics accuracy, or personalization.
Some third-party providers may offer their own opt-out tools or advertising preference settings.
10. "Do Not Sell or Share" and targeted advertising choices
We do not sell personal information for money.
However, some analytics, advertising, retargeting, and measurement activities may be considered a "sale," "sharing," targeted advertising, or cross-context behavioral advertising under certain privacy laws.
Where required by law, you may have the right to opt out of these activities.
To exercise an applicable opt-out right, contact us at hello@theinfluist.com or use any opt-out mechanism we make available on the Service.
We will honor legally required opt-out requests as required by applicable law.
11. Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy.
For example, we may retain customer email addresses, order records, report-access records, support messages, and related account or transaction information to provide report access, maintain customer history, send permitted communications, comply with legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, enforce our agreements, and operate the Service.
Magic links, access tokens, or session credentials may expire earlier than the underlying customer, order, or report-access records.
We may retain aggregated, de-identified, or non-identifying information for analytics, product improvement, research, reporting, and business purposes.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical, organizational, and administrative measures designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
No method of transmission, storage, or processing is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Your privacy rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- access personal information we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate information;
- request deletion of certain information;
- request portability of certain information;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- opt out of certain marketing, sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling activities;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
- appeal a decision where required by applicable law.
To exercise a privacy right, contact us at hello@theinfluist.com.
We may need to verify your request before acting on it. We may deny or limit requests where permitted by law, including where we need to retain information for legal, security, fraud-prevention, tax, accounting, contractual, or operational reasons.
14. International users
The Influist is operated from the United States.
If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate.
Where required by law, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections or other legally recognized transfer mechanisms.
15. Children
The Service is intended for business users and is not directed to children.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at hello@theinfluist.com.

The Service and reports may link to third-party websites, social profiles, platforms, publications, or other resources.
We do not control and are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, accuracy, security, or policies of third-party websites or services.
Your use of third-party websites and services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
